Founded in 1919 by Fritz Muβgueller and Adam Klebes, KUM is the oldest still producing sharpener manufacturer in the world. Since 1.930 the Company is producing in Erlangen. The Factory grew significantly in the 50 ́s. KUM therefore created their own mold construction department and a mechanical engineering department. All steps, from the mold-machine production to the finished product, are done “in-house” to ensure the same constant level of high quality. Owned by the founding family in the third generation, today KUM is exporting to over 70 countries worldwide.
